  • For this column, Rising Dawn is looking for exclusives with indie bands, specifically bands without a large following, under 5k.

    For these submissions, a picture of the band and a link to their platform of choice will be added to the article.

  • Debate Columns will be published together, pro/con being in the same edition. Therefore, publication may be delayed.

    The debate on who should write stories about marginalized groups.

    Should romance fiction get the same literary respect as other genres?

    Should romance stories prioritize realistic portrayals of relationships, or are happily-ever-afters essential?

    Can a love story without a happy ending be just as satisfying—or even more impactful?

    Is a romance novel still “romance” if the story focuses more on personal growth, friendships, or family dynamics?

    Should romance writers focus more on emotional connection or physical chemistry in their stories?

    Do tropes like “enemies-to-lovers” or “fake dating” feel tired, or do they continue to resonate because they work?

    Do dominant, “alpha” male characters still have a place in modern romance stories, or should they be replaced by more nuanced portrayals?

    Is love at first sight a charming fantasy or an unrealistic crutch for lazy storytelling?

    Why do readers gravitate toward bad-boy characters, and does this reinforce harmful relationship ideals?

    Are traditional gender roles in romance problematic, or are they simply part of the genre’s escapism?

    Are love triangles engaging story devices or overplayed distractions?

  • Is it a writer’s responsibility to include diverse relationships, or should they write what feels most authentic to them?

    Is mainstream romance doing enough to highlight queer relationships?

    Should certain romance stories—like those depicting marginalized identities—be written only by writers from those communities?

  • We also offer Author shoutouts for a small fee, considering that it will be an ad.

    Submissions for an author shout out will go through the same process as articles.

    Additionally, writers who get 10 monthly subscribers get featured and their work gets promoted at no cost. If they get 10 yearly subscribers they get two featured works at no cost.
