What is Rising?
Rising is an art activist organization that seeks to connect humanity through art in a time in which censorship, inauthenticity and apathy run rampant.
We seek to create a safe network for artists across the world, but we are based in the United States. We hope that one day we can not only change the way artists are viewed within our culture, but also to help refocus art as a necessity in our culture.

FAQs
How can I get involved?
You can apply to be a volunteer, give to our donation page, or simply share online and in person! Telling your peers is an excellent way to help us help others.
What if I want to be a board member?
We want people who are extremely passionate to run the board, and would like people to get involved with the intensity of Rising’s passion before running for Board. You can start off by volunteering to get a foundation of understanding behind Rising’s mission.
How much time do I have to dedicate?
We work on projects independently but separate. Rising is there to help you fit activism into your daily life, not become another burden to carry. We are very flexible with scheduling as long as communication is happening!
Do I have to do all of the projects?
Absolutely not! We never ask for anyone to carry more than they are comfortable with, and push for people to ask for help when faced with decisions or hard times.
How do I pick a team?
During your volunteer introduction process, we will outline the goals that you have for your life and find tools and resources to create strong foundations for whatever self-project you are creating, whether that be a portfolio, a resume, an artistic endeavor, or even simply wanting to work within an artistic community.
What’s the end goal?
The end goal is to have safe homes for artists to create in across the country, create economic freedom for artists, fighting the “poor artist” stereotype, creating empathy in the next generation through the use of arts, providing artistic materials to public schools, and create a space where Artists are in charge of their art, not pushed into boxes with little to no say over what they create.
